IMF and the World Bank slam presidential draft bill on anti-corruption court in Ukraine

The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have officially informed the Ukrainian authorities that the adoption of the presidential draft Law on the Anti-Corruption Court in its current version will mean Kyiv’s violation of its obligations to its international partners. Both institutions have sent the letters to the Ukrainian authorities (on January 11 and January 15 respectively) in which they criticised the draft Law. Most of the IMF’s and WB's criticism is in line with concerns voiced earlier by civil society representatives.
